About Alexandra C. Vite, PMHNP-BC

Alexandra Vite is a board‑certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She attended the University of Virginia for her bachelor’s degree in nursing, graduating with distinction (honors). She later received her master’s degree as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from UCSF.

Prior to earning her master’s degree, she worked as a registered nurse in pediatric critical care at UC Davis Medical Center and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. During her time as a nurse, she was a strong advocate for integrating a holistic approach to care, inspiring her research on the mental health needs among parents of children with congenital heart defects and publication in the Journal of the American Heart Association.

Following the completion of her training as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, Alexandra continued her work at UCSF as part of the clinical staff in the outpatient psychiatry Division of Child and Adolescent Services. In addition to providing medication management services and individual therapy, she assumed roles as co‑facilitator of various psychotherapy groups, co‑leader of parent psychoeducational workshops for depression and ADHD, department head of patient experience development and quality improvement initiatives, and member of the Department of Psychiatry’s Peer Review Committee. During this time, she was also a guest lecturer for the pediatric psychiatry programs at UCSF School of Nursing.

Prior to joining ResWell, Alexandra relocated to Southern California to work at UCSD Health as the Lead Child-Adolescent NP on the Outpatient Psychiatric Services team. Here she trained and supervised post‑graduate PMHNPs in various pediatric clinical settings as part of the Price Fellowship Program. Over the last year, she has been providing care to families throughout California.

Throughout her experiences working in the clinical setting, Alexandra has always valued a patient and family‑centered approach to care, working closely with her pediatric patients while also establishing a strong rapport with their parents and family members. She believes supporting and incorporating holistic practices is ultimately what fosters optimal and lasting physical, emotional, and mental wellness for her patients.

Alexandra is an active member of the California Association for Nurse Practitioners, California Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International (the Honor Society of Nursing).
