Stand Up! Speak Out!® Summer Camp in Descanso Gardens
In this popular summer camp for girls entering 3rd to 5th grade in the fall, campers enjoy scavenger hunts, creative projects, games, and exploring Descanso Gardens’ scenic paths and waterfalls—while building skills that last far beyond summer.
Led by our caring, experienced team, each day is thoughtfully designed to strengthen social confidence while fostering connection, creativity, and fun! Campers will learn skills to help maintain positive friendships, communicate effectively, feel their best, and approach challenges with confidence.

Some parents are simply looking for a fun outdoor summer activity, some hope their daughters will build confidence and make new friends, and others are excited for them to learn how to manage big feelings, tackle challenges, and communicate more effectively.
With Stand Up! Speak Out!® Summer Camp, we’ve designed a program to foster the social and emotional skills our children need – confidence, camaraderie, and compassion. And we’ve made it super fun because that’s also what kids need!
The most rewarding part is seeing the campers shine – laughing with new friends, public speaking with poise, joyfully playing camp games, and tapping into their creative spirits.

Parents, join us to gain insights and celebrate your daughter’s experience:
- Wednesday, 6-7pm: Join our online parent presentation, Cliques, Conflicts, and Connections: Support Your Daughter as She Navigates Her Social World. Gain practical tools to help your daughter build confidence, navigate friendships, and thrive socially.
- Friday, 1-1:45 pm: Open House Celebration. Campers proudly share their creative projects and new skills with their families!
Cost:
- The $595 fee includes a camp t-shirt, all arts and crafts materials, five days of camp in Descanso Gardens led by our experienced team, and the online parent presentation.
