About Sarah Manchanda, PhD
Dr. Manchanda is a psychological associate and assistant professor who provides individual psychotherapy to adolescents and adults across a range of life stages. She is passionate about walking alongside clients and their loved ones on the healing journey, creating a space that feels supportive, collaborative, and grounded in genuine care. Dr. Manchanda views therapy as a unique opportunity to help people build the self-awareness, skills, and resilience needed to ride the waves of life’s ups and downs with greater clarity, confidence, and self-compassion. Her work is grounded in a client-centered, humanistic approach that honors each person’s strengths, values, and lived experiences.
Dr. Manchanda integrates elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), creative and arts-based therapies, and behavioral strategies as needed. She tailors her approach to each client’s individual needs and goals, drawing from evidence-based practices while remaining flexible, relational, and attuned to the whole person.
With extensive experience in school-based mental health, Dr. Manchanda has worked closely with children, adolescents, and families in support of their academic, social-emotional, and behavioral well-being. Her background as a school psychologist and educator informs her holistic understanding of how relationships, systems, identity, and context shape mental health. While she has deep experience supporting young people, she is passionate about working with individuals across all ages and stages of life.
