4 Ways Therapy Can Help Kids and Teens this School Year

As your family settles into the new school year, we hope you’re finding your rhythm—and that you and your children have the support you need to feel connected and confident. Sometimes a little extra support can make a meaningful difference, especially during times of transition.

Therapy can give children and teens a supportive space to work through challenges and build skills that carry into the classroom, friendships, and everyday life. It can help with:

  1. Managing stress and anxiety — learning tools to handle school pressures and big emotions.
  2. Building confidence — developing a stronger sense of self and greater confidence navigating challenges.
  3. Strengthening relationships — improving communication and navigating friendships, peers, and family relationships.
  4. Building coping skills — learning practical ways to manage setbacks, frustration, change, and difficult moments.

Our clinical therapy team is expanding to serve our community’s needs – and we’re excited to introduce our two newest team members! Let us know if we can help support your family.

Welcome, Halle and Jean, to our Clinical Therapy Team!

Halle Lefkowitz, MA is a doctoral practicum trainee providing individual therapy to adolescents, young adults, and adults. She approaches therapy with warmth, compassion, and curiosity, creating a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel understood, empowered, and accepted.
Jean Park, MA is a doctoral practicum trainee providing compassionate, developmentally informed psychotherapy for children and adolescents.
